About Winfield Gatherings
“Winfield Gatherings” was a blog site I used during 2018 when I was very active in Shroud of the Avatar meetups and conventions. I promoted and attended The Baron’s Men theatre company. I planned and ran a King’s Dinner and a 10th Anniversary Space Lunch in Austin, Texas for Richard Garriott de Cayeux, both on October 12, 2018.
I re-published my Winfield Gatherings posts and articles here in this special collection on “Wander into the Mist”. As I re-engage in the Ultima Online and Shroud of the Avatar communities, I shall post new articles and information.
Who is Winfield?
Winfield is my avatar: my online gaming persona. Created in 1995 when Ultima Online development first became known to the public, I joined communities of players as Winfield particularly in a role-playing sense. I role-play a diplomat and fisherman.
My main focus was leading a virtual role-playing town called PaxLair (“Peace Place”) which exists in two online MMORPGs: Ultima Online and Shroud of the Avatar.
